Now starting the second novel in Jonathan Rabb's mystery trilogy, with the action taking place in Berlin 1927...

Just finishing THE DARK BEYOND THE STARS by Frank M. Robinson. A really good generation starship yarn.

Next up is FORGOTTEN The untold story of D-day's black heroes, at home and at war, by Linda Hervieux.

Recently purchased and got this in the mail today and immediately had to read it. I absolutely loved it! Some of JB's best art yet (really loved the opening sequence) and the dialogue was spot on. Now I'm wanting to read the second Michael Swann story.

I'm going to check out those Jonathan Rabb books for sure! I've just finished watching season one of a Sky channel series with a similar setting called Babylon Berlin.

I don't know a lot about Dan Dare myself, but I seem to rub elbows with a lot of people through Gerry Anderson and Doctor Who fanzines who are quite into him and vintage Eagle comics. I'm always getting solicitations for this 'Spaceship Away' magazine which has new 'old' Dan Dare and other comics, plus some historical articles. Might be worth investigating?

Just finished THE TERROR by Dan Simmons. Totally engrossing book. I enjoyed it. I got interested in it watching the AMC series. When I realised it was based on a book I  stopped watching the series part way through and read the book so could enjoy the book's ending first.

Now reading RACHEL RISING by Terry Moore. Terry Moore is an amazing artist. He has an amazing command of gesture and facial expressions. He claims that this came from his many years as a film editor!

MONKEY PLANET by Pierre Boulle.

It's very different to the film adaptation, PLANET OF THE APES. It's, well, interesting so far. :)
