It doesn't matter what he does, he may be the Commander of the Virginia National Guard, but they are under the command of the US military. They follow the same UCMJ and he cannot override it. He may think he can, but he can't.

Yeah, that's a pretty huge leap forward. Let's see if the brass follows through.

I'd expect most of the rank and file really don't give a rat's ass which way their buddies swing, anyway -- especially those needing friendly coverage in hostile territory.

Good. Gays were already in, already serving honorably, already fighting and dieing along side their buddies.  It's good that gays won't be kicked out for something that has no effect on job performance.  In fact it has no effect on anyone unless you are the other person involved in the relationship.  Move on, nothing to see here.  Congratulations.

Excellent...about time...Now it's time for DOMA to be repelled and UAFA approved!

I'm in same situation as Tom...Vincent and me are married in Iowa, our marriage recognized in the states that do, and in Mexico City...
