Oh!  When the project was shuffled off to the other board I didn't realize it was still on.  If you guys want a FF story, tho', I'm happy to deliver.  What now are we looking for?  A specific era?  Length?  Etc?

I figured it was on if JB didn't object to it.

I figure it would be cool to see a 1960s' style "Fantastic Four" story, set in the pre-Galactus era (approx. 1961-1965). The length could be anywhere from 12 (half a Silver-Age story) to 24 pages (a full book), I suppose. It would be cool if you wrote it in chapters, like the stories did in those early "Fantastic Four" comics.

Anybody have any other suggestions?

I figure what we're going for here is pretending that this story is a "lost" 1960s' story, and it would have been a reprinted story in the "Giant-Size Fantastic Four" #1.

JB, or mods, if this project needs to be in a different area, please let us know and we'll move it.

Mike-- If you're writing, I'll be happy to draw it! Count
me in for three pages worth. Though, I think think this
thread may be soon for the "fan fic" forum.

That sounds like a good offer, F Ron!  And, I agree with F Ron - as fun as this sounds, it does cross the line a bit.  I'll still write it, but why don't we move it over where it belongs?

Aces!

Mike

Well, why don't we carry this part of it (the new story) over to that area, to avoid any problems. But I hope that the whole thread doesn't need to be moved over, as the "Giant-Size Fantastic Four" #1 story, "This Flame Eternal" does belong on the main board.

I've started a thread for the new challenge over on the Fan Fic board:

http://www.byrnerobotics.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=3903& amp;PN=1&TPN=1

This way, we can leave this thread here, without violating any of the Forum's rules. I hope that will work for everyone.

Aaron Leach, I've edited the first post to include your credit on the project. Sorry for the exclusion there initially. It's like those speeches given at awards ceremonies where the person accepting the award is trying to remember to thank everyone, and still forgets somebody. I recall trying to figure out the other signature on the cover (where you signed your first name, I believe), but couldn't make it out. No slight was intended by my forgetfulness, I assure you. Thanks for your contributions!

Say, I just posted to this thread, and somehow it knocked it off from being a "sticky" at the top of the board! What gives?

Edited: Ah, the universe has been restored to its' natural order! Thanks, mods!

This certainly was an impressive project, from all the fans doing their parts to JLB being gracious enough to happily let it be done.

It was a fun project! Hopefully, we'll get a chance as a group to do something as equally cool and fun again in the future.

I must also note, in reflection of the past, how utterly cool and nearly surreal it was to be given a chance to complete an unpublished (well, by Marvel) "lost" John Byrne "Fantastic Four" story, with his approval, no less!

I said it before, but thanks, again, JB!
