I've always found DST to be completely illusory and absurd.

I almost included that, Matt, but I didn't want to come off sounding like some escaped minion of Kang the Conqueror. ;)

I think as you head to the more northerly latitudes, the more you appreciate the daylight in the afternoon. I'd just as soon keep in in DST year round, I'd rather have the afternoon light than the morning light. I really don't like it getting dark around 4pm and earlier on cloudy days.
It's all good either way, just have to make it to December 20 and the days start get longer then. Though it takes a while to notice.

Oh, and don't forget to set your forum time back an hour too. Just noticed that.

Back to a 5 hour time difference again. It's been four for the last week.

It really couldn't be simpler. If you're in the US, you just set your clocks back one hour, unless you're in Arizona, in which case you don't, unless you're in the Navajo nation, in which case you do. This means that someone in New York will once again be five hours behind London time, in contrast to this past week, when we were four hours behind, and a week in the Spring, when it'll be six. And if you need to call India, remember that they're now ten and a half hours ahead, not nine and a half, 'cause they don't play that way.
