Jeff, the two folks who have suggested ICBNJL have already bought Doom Patrol from Chris' shop.

Basically, ten guys have already bought Doom Patrol and are waiting for us to take up their suggestions.

I've taken up two titles ( Invincible, Cable & Deadpool ). You've taken up one, Jeff. It would be really cool if DP supporters who haven't yet participated jump in at this point.

The She-Hulk fan community has actually phoned retailers and asked them to promote their book with no results. For a retailer to come to us and participate in a promotion is a special thing. Let's not let him and his customers down.

Joe put me down for buying the latest issue of Birds of Prey. I've never read a single issue before and only saw the first episode of the late tv show. I'll hunt it down this Wednesday.

As promised, here's my comic swapping column: http://www.brokenfrontier.com/columns/details.php?id=222& ;PHPSESSID=b178a3b7d18f2afb369e35b43340de26

In it, I mention (and link to) this thread. There's also a link at the end to go to a thread open to swaps for all titles.

I picked up JLA Classified last week and enjoyed it(Of course I liked the original Justice Leage run by Giffen/Dematties/Maguire). Does this help out, if not give me another one to try and I'll pick it up this week when I go to the shop.

Paul G. - good for you ! I've been following Gail's run since the start and it's one of the most solid books out there.

Brian - well written article. Thank you for portraying what we've been doing in a positive light. I really hope other fan groups pick up on what you are saying in the article.

Rob (or is it Bob?) - I think we'll have to ask Chris H. to make that call for his customer.

Nice article Brian. I'm glad others agree that comic swapping is a good idea, as well as a good deal of fun.

Thanks for the positive feedback, guys. I do have a lot of fun with these swaps.

There's a reader on this thread looking for up to three readers of different books to do comic swaps for Fallen Angel, provided they haven't read it yet. "hamsterdance" is his handle.

Thanks for the heads-up Brian. I'll be reading two issues of FA in return for a Newsarama member reading three of DP.

Hey guys, here are suggestions still outstanding. Remember, the customers from Chris' shop who suggested these titles have already bought Doom Patrol in order to participate in this swap:

The New Thunderbolts

JLA Classified : I Can't Belive it's Not the Justice League

Aquaman

Space Ghost

Stormbreaker

JLA Classified : I Can't Belive it's Not the Justice League - Picked it up last week, will be buying the rest of the story as well

Space Ghost - I'll pick this up, it's been at the back of my mind to look at it anyway.

[/QUOTE]

I'll let you know about the Space Ghost on Wednesday or Thursday, As for the JLA issue it was a fun read and as indicated I will be buying the rest of that storyline.
