I would be willing to read something if those of you who picked up issue 7 would continue on to issue 8. Byrne's books are good enough in single installments but when you get a collection together and read them all at once, you can often see patterns and other things developing, so if you guys keep reading, you may see some surprises happening.
For those who want to also increase DP's audience, do what every activist says: buy issues, leave them in waiting rooms, on the bus, subway etc. People will pick them up, may like what they see and keep collecting. It's been known to happen.

Hi Dave - I'll try "Samurai Heaven and Earth" in exchange for
you trying DP. I've never heard of the title and am always
looking for good recommendations. Any particular issue I
should start with? I've got some really good stores, so I am
sure I can find any number that is relatively recent.

OK I'll pick it up Wednesday. Don't worry about being lost in the story, the first page of each issue
is a brief rundown of what has happened so far.

I will take you up on this if you also buy Hard Time #12. Hopefully I can get some of you on board for the relaunch.

Hard Time is a great read. Don't be discouraged if #12 seems like the end, the book is set to begin "Season 2" later on this year. There's also a Hard Time Vol 1 trade out.

It's a relatively young series, I doubt if more than 4 issues of it are out so far, so I imagine your comic shop would have #1 or at least be able to order it.

This kind of reminds me of when I was a kid, trading comics as a means of finding new stuff to read. What's neat is that here each party wants to "trade" his or her favorite book, not their cast-offs !

I've already agreed to buy DP #8 (I already got #7), since Mark McKay, my swap partner, bought two issues of Manhunter, but if you feel like grabbing an issue of it too; I won't argue with that. :)

Mr. Tim O'Neill, you are on. I will pick up my copies on Wed. And as
others have said already, you should be able to get issue 1 of Heaven
and Earth..
Good Luck!
