One of the things I'd like to see is if there is a direct link between Cornelius Van Damme/Mark Ivey and Silas Van Damme. I'm sure JB will explain this mystery, but not in the way I expect. •• I didn't think there was a "mystery"! I thought my use of use a distinctive name would be enough to tell readers there was a connection. But, if I dare borrow a quote from Alan Moore, here, "Everything has meaning, but not everything is important." ** I too have been one of those who thought there was more to Silas and Cornelius Van Damme than we were shown. First, Silas is introduced for no apparent reason - apparently, his sequence could've been edited out of 2112 without any major damage to the plot. Also, his little speach to Tommy in 2112 made it seem as if he knew what was going on with Sathanas and the mutates. Plus, this is supposedly the richest, most powerful man in 2112. It's only natural that we assume he is important. But then, later on in the series, what really made him stand out was having Cornelius show up. Here was a mysterious villain, one hundred years previously, with the same surname, with access to a mind-transfer device (where did that come from?) and easily manipulating everyone in order to achieve ultimate power. Come on JB, you've got to tell us a little more about these guys in the upcoming series!
