I am about halfway through the first phone book, after never having read the series before. This is the first time in a really long time I have had a riveting read and a real page turner. I have a huge stack of current unread comics that I have given up on and it felt great to contact my LCS to have them order the 2nd phone book for me as well as pull the new series after so many months (years) of only downsizing. Thanks for starting the series back up.

Received just now a PDF of the lettering to the first issue. Very WEIRD! My font, but I didn't do the lettering! Strange kind of "Was I sleepwalking?" effect!

I received the third JBNM hardcover earlier today, and look forward to rereading it after I get through Darwyn's Cooke's take on THE OUTFIT!

Oh, and it's the same size as the second hardcover.

I am officially done reading all three Next Men HC's. Bring on more spoilers.......I mean previews. I placed my order for the hand drawn sketch cover with my LCS. He said he will throw in the standard variant and the 1 in 25 comic book of covers to boot!!! I'm hoping there will be a Dr. Trogg sketch to be had!! Wink wink nudge nudge. Say no more, say no more.

I'm planning to tell the LCS this week to put NEXT MEN on my pull list!

Oh, I only ordered one from my LCS. I also put in an order with the online company I also order from. I figure those might get allocated and I could be shut out. But I am solid with getting one from the LCS at the higher price. You are talking to a John Byrne sketch junkie. You have to know I'm covering all the bases. At best I get two. At worst I get one......But I want two.

I'm just going to go the store and get my copies off the rack. The IDW releases have made it fun to hunt around and see which cover I will get.
I bought two copies of each of the McCOY series to give one set to my brother - one was the "real" cover and one was the gag cover. When it came time to give him his copies, I had a hard time deciding which to give up! I ultimately kept the gag covers - what a fun idea.

Tim, I bought both McCOY covers for each issue with the I tenting of giving one completed set away. Now I can't decide which to keep!

It's a tough decision, Wallace - especially with the Rembrandt homage cover for #4. That's the cover that makes the decision really hard. I think the "A" covers for #1 and #4 were two of JB's best. And JB has done some amazing covers!

I'm looking forward to this series. I've only read the 2112, and the first tpb. I like the fact that Mr. Byrne has complete control with this project and has the freedom to write and draw whatever he wants.
