I take it back: the color to that cover helps make the figures pop (nice use of shadows) and is muted enough that it is still extremely striking.

Compliments, and all, to the colorist.

Been collecting comics for 4 years in a comicshop in Paris. When I told them I was more than enthusiastic JBNM was coming back they couldn't care less. Stoic as stones. And since I have always been the one starting the conversations with these indifferent, un-impassioned, nonchalant sellers (they'd sell bars of soap that wouldn't make any difference) I decided to quit my LCS for a new one where the owner is quite the conversationalist and has always had a HUGE John Byrne stock (been completing my collection at his shop for years).

Happy to hear the JB lettering font is back. I currently am re-reading my whole JBNM run one issue per day like a good GP's prescription.

JB, count on my new comics dealer for a substantial order of future Byrne stuff.

I can't wait for the first issue.

I think I'll pre order the 24 bucks variant.

I was surprised, looking back over the pertinent issues, to be reminded that
Tony, when grabbed by the Mysterious Figure in Armor™ had actually been
barefoot!

A hand drawn sketch cover by JB!! Wow! That is great to hear. I see some online retailers are pre-offering that cover super cheap for 24 bucks. I see heavy allocations happening. The supply may not meet the demand unless every online retailer orders 50 copies for every hand drawn sketch cover ordered. They are seriously underpricing that book or not completely understanding that it is a HAND DRAWN sketch cover and not the standard "sketch" variant IDW offers. My LCS told me it will be 100 for such a cover. That way it covers his cost of 50 copies. I'm going that route for two reasons. One I'll be guaranteed an original sketch cover by JB and it will make sure that the folks in my area will have access to the new Next Men comic.

I'm going to ask my LCS about getting a sketch cover. If they say it's doable, I'll plunk my money down and hope for one featuring Jazz!
