Hi there!

1st: Congrats and MANY THANKS to John for the newest B & W page sent to the fans. I love it. VERY much.

2nd: Here are a few collector's items of mine I wanted to share with you guys:

Una pagina incluida en "Dos mil ciento doce" con Satanas.

In French, huh I mean English: I learned Spanish at school for 7 years and had a friend from Spain who used to send me every Spanish translation of NM from 2112 to JBNM 18. Why I stopped after that, I can't remember...

My copy of 2112 signed by John himself. Paris signing circa 1992.

The day before John had dared (!) reveal to me that ALDUS & SATHANAS were 1 and the same (JBNM 7 had barely come out at the time if I remember correctly). I remember being flabbergasted by such a revelation.

JBNM bookmark from Previews. Circa 1993.

Anyone out here having purchased EITHER the NM jacket or the JAZZ statuette?

My copy of JBNM 21 signed by Mike Mignola. ComicCon in Paris circa the time of HellBoy issue 1.

****

I believe I figured that out pretty early on.  But it's been so many years now, I can't remember exactly when any more.

I didn't figure it out when I was reading it, but when it was revealed I wasn't surprised in the least. I paused a moment, literally thought "That makes total sense!" and then proceeded on, half kicking myself because I hadn't figured it out earlier.

Seems like it was only yesterday... or last week.

I've probably told the tale before, of how I was thinking about making Hilltop turn out to be Sathanas, but had not made my final decision, even several issues in. Then I was chatting with colorist Matt Webb one day, and he asked if his "guess" about their mutual identity was right, and I realized that, almost unconsciously, I had already been sowing the seeds!

And a brilliant twist it was indeed.
