I am in favor of #1 numbering. BTW, I liked the notion that each arc
had its own numbering.

I just read finished reading everything.

Yes, that's 30 issues of Next Men plus 2112 in only two days. I think that means I liked it, no?

I'd just like to say, I feel so sorry for all of you fans of this series who were there from the start. I got to the end of 30, sat for a moment, and then cursed myself for reading it all so fast and having so long to wait for the new material. Then, I thought of all of you having to wait YEARS and I can't imagine how much that must have killed, because I'm raring to go for the next issue NOW and I've just finished.

I'm really eager to see how Sathanas' plans get thwarted before the story reaches the "loop point" as I'll call it in 2115. At least, I'm really eager and hopeful to see IF his plans get thwarted. Also, if I may be so bold... full size dinosaurs fighting Jack would be nice. And Bethany feeling a hug or a kiss from someone she loves. And Danny's sister maybe getting a Mark Ivey style body to inhabit. And Jazz getting to do a little damage (or a lot) after all she's been through would be just.

I just hope the series - since it has an ending in sight according to JB - has some measure of happiness for the characters I've come to care about so much. It's a slim hope, maybe, since great drama involves putting characters through adversity, but it's a hope.

Hi Brad!

Congrats on having read 2112 + 31 issues of JBNM in 2 days!

You're right, waiting for so many years for the sequel made stop waiting for anything anymore. I couldn't be more enthusiastic now that I know NM's back!

I'm really looking forward to see more of Aldus / Sathanas and Aldus / Mark IV too.

To give everybody how long we've waited for this to return. It's the same length of time that was between Return of the Jedi and The Phantom Menace. Although I'm sure that this will be a bit more satisfying.

I'm halfway into the "first" issue as of this morning, and with every panel I draw I am more and more glad that I had decided back when the book went into hibernation that its return would signal a profound change of direction.

Still telling the same story, with the same characters, of course, but basically taking a secondary theme of the first series and turning it into the main theme.

Tho, since someone has invoked STAR WARS, I promise you I will not start telling you I "always" intended my tale to be "The Tragedy of Aldus Hilltop"!!

it just occurred to me ... JB, the sneak peak was inked.
how are you penciling and inking? a page at a time, or pencil a few, ink a few, or ...?
also, assuming this series runs for a while, is it your intention (now) to invite a guest penciler, or guest inker, now and then?
on a personal note ... i am so efin looking forward to this !

Great page. Looks like the Next Men are really back.

Can't imagine the word ballon placement on this page and am guessing it's pictures only.

Greg, have you read every issue?

++++++

Of course! I really should re-read them, though.

Why d'ya ask? I don't recall anything about Hilltop having children in the series, if that's what you mean.
