All the Next Men were pulled through a portal by a mysterious character in issue 30. Where they went, why they were chosen, who this character is, it's all a mystery.

Anyone else remember the plans for the 2112 sequel? (I keep thinking it was 6116 or 6262 or something...) I mentioned this to a friend and he thought I was nuts!

Not to rub it in, Wallace. I own the original art for Vol. 2 and 3 of the Premiere HC's. When I saw those I had to have them in my collection. Here is a link to my scan of Vol. 3. I haven't scanned the cover to Vol. 2. I'm backwards that way. http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=664194&am p;GSub=44152

Well, if it´s all gonna be about time travel, JB could just go nuts on the palindrome thing and make every stop the NM make one, vg, 2112, 2222, 2332, 2442, etc....

All the Next Men were pulled through a portal by a mysterious character in issue 30. Where they went, why they were chosen, who this character is, it's all a mystery Apparently, not all of the Next Men were pulled - as far as we readers know Jack remained with Father Michael in New York and Gillian was with Chrissie. Also, Tony, who technically is not a Next Men, was pulled along with one of the president's security men. Anyone else remember the plans for the 2112 sequel? (I keep thinking it was 6116 or 6262 or something...) I mentioned this to a friend and he thought I was nuts! No, you're not. On the lettercol to JBNM#11 JB wrote he was hoping to get an immediate sequel to 2112 out in 1992, to be called 2113, but the crunch of his schedule didn't permit it. He had plans for a 2114 later that year and maybe retrofit 2113, but as we know that never happened. He also stated he had plans for something set even further ahead in the same universe and possibly titled 6119.

Just think of all of the wonderful JBNM/2112 comics we could have had if the market hadn't taken a turn for the worse.

Thanks, Pedro!
I would what 6119 would have been about???? I'd love to read that one! 6119 seems to be too far in the future to connect to... anything!

When you consider that the concluding arcs of Next Men are to be time travel related, a story set in 6119 might not be as tenuously linked to the rest of the series as you think.

Apparently this needs repeating:"Here's a thought --- You should all know by now that I will not be revealing any of my plans, but if you keep making guesses, there is a good likelihood that you will hit upon some things just by chance, thus spoiling them for yourselves and others. "So, ixnay on the essesguay, okay?" C'mon, guys! Don't force me to lock down this thread!
