Rik, thanks for posting a link to your interview with JB. Well done.

(Do you mean "31" here? "Are you going to pick up from where you
left off as if this was issue #32 or will this be a fresh start?")

Wallace, thanks for pointing that out. My error on that one. Sorry.

Paul, that page is really sweet. I love the big Fury hologram.

Rik, FYI, I also linked your interview in my blog post.

I'm a bit late in commenting, but this was the best news out of San Diego this year. Very much looking forward to this.

John just did an interview with me about Next Men at First Comics News

Great interview, too bad some of the comments ruin it.  Especially the ones by a "Dan Blakely" who has an obvious axe to grind.

I dunno, Kevin. This…

"Byrne constantly whines about late comics on his message board and yet issue 31 of Next Men is about 10 years late…the hypocrisy is sickening."

…is pretty funny!

I also chuckled at…

"…this is a free country and I can post my well informed opinions even tho you want to censor me."

It's not every day you see "well informed" and "censor" misused in the same sentence!

You know what's sort of odd?  In my experience, Byrne bashing seems to only exist on the Internet.  I've never heard anyone bad mouth anything about JB or his work in real life.  Whenever I've brought something up about JB or his work I have only heard positive comments.  I've overheard people talking about JB and his work in lines at conventions or at comic stores and it's the same thing.  Only positives.  Byrne Bashers appear to be a rare species that only lives on Interweb Island.

Anonymity is powerful when you want to say something about someone on the net that you'd never say to their face.

Then you must not go to the same comic shops and conventions that I go to.

Apropos of "Byrne constantly whines about late comics on his message board and yet issue 31 of Next Men is about 10 years late…the hypocrisy is sickening."

It's interesting that something that was not scheduled can actually be "late".  Not to mention the maths behind 1995–2010 being about ten years.
I'm leaning towards JB's "pretty funny" on this one.
