My favorite is Bethany. The Bethany vs. bikers sequence early in the series is mind-searing.

Stan Lee and JB. Just imagine... Hope you're not forgetting the Silver Surfer one-shot (circa 1982).

Good call. That's something I read in translation, but I don't currently own. Let's rectify that.

Always meant to ask you JB, how much of that Future World of Marvel project ended up as 2112?
I know you've stated before that you were under pressure to pepper the book with what happened to all of the major players in the Marvel Universe.
I wonder if it's possible to write a story set in the far future or distant past of the MU without any connections to the heroic era? How long could it go before some brilliant editor gives into the temptation to have a Wolverine appearance via time travel as a sales boost?

So this will be a 20-or-so-issue run, then? Sweet!

I've most often said there are about 20 issues left of the story to tell. But this has always been a best guess estimate. I don't have it plotted out, with issue breaks. I will, as before, let the story take the time it needs. If that turns out to be 10 issues, so be it!

JB, FYI, I will be featuring a piece on the Next Men news on my small and humble blog tomorrow (Monday) and I have opted to quote your: "So here it is: YOU WILL NOT HAVE TO HAVE READ ANY OF THE PREVIOUS ISSUES IN ORDER TO PICK UP THE NEW ONES.
Trust me on this! And SPREAD THE WORD!" (which I hope is all okay.)
All the while nevertheless stressing the brilliance of the original issues and 2112.
If you (JB) are interested in reading it, I'll be more than happy to provide a link once it's up (but I will only do so if JB asks for it, people).
