I'm sorry Mike. You're heart is in the right place and I appreciate your efforts. But I couldn't do this if I wanted to. A small group should never try to artifically control any particular economy. That was the problem led by speculators in the 90s that nearly destroyed an market. I beleive in purchasing for personal consumption.

That said, I do believe giving them away falls into personal consumption and find that perfectly acceptable. I am just not a fan of holding, tossing, or burning. In the end, the market needs to decide otherwise you could be leading a detriment to the LCS when they start altering orders to match customers who don't exist.

So...the NM will be time-travelling for a whiles, or what?

••

Yes, that major direction shift of which I wrote earlier. I introduced the time travel elements with the intent of seeing them eventually become the main plot thread.

Ah-ha! Thanks for your response, JB!

All respect to you Mike, but I think buying multiple issues in that way is gaming the system and will ultimately have a negative effect.  If the numbers are positive and there was an effort to buy multiple issues, then the positive sales will be attributed to a stunt.  Those positive numbers will be quickly seen as negative.

I never supported the publishers making multiple versions of the same issue, and this is sort of the readership mirror version of that.  I just don't like it.

That is a good point, Tim.

I just remember when I was looking for Lab Rats and my comic shop guy said he grouped them with the Archie comics because he thought it was a kiddie comic or not being able to buy Danger Unlimited and Babe because my comic shop guy didn't want to order the minimum three issues to get me one. I just hope Next Men is treated better buy the retailers so it gets a fair shot to succeed.

Exactly, Mike!

And I plan on also buying multiple copies of any trade that comes out to hand out as gifts to friends and family.
