I don't want a preview, I want the real thing. And I didn't click on the link.

Seeing as I detest surprises, previews like this are a blessing. And I can't put a finger on what exactly is different about the inking -- pretty soon I'm going to believe it was inked on computer.

Well, I have you all beat. I don't know a damn thing about anything to do with NEXT MEN, so I'm in for a treat! It's so nice to feel this way. I'm looking forward to this series.

Great looking preview. I've never bought a Next Men comic before, but I am very interested to pick this one up. Fingers crossed that my LCS stocks it.

I looked at the preview with my eyes semi closed. Yeah, I'm like that. JBNM 31/1 D-Day minus 4

And I can't put a finger on what exactly is different about the inking -- pretty soon I'm going to believe it was inked on computer.•• As I mentioned somewhere upthread, I am indeed doing something different with the inks. But I'm going to let you all get a couple of issues in front of you before I start discussing what it is. Suffice to say, other than the spotting of large black areas in Photoshop, which I have been doing for quite a while now, the computer is not involved.

When the new issue officially comes out next week (!!!) should we just keep discussions in this thread or will someone start a new thread for each issue? Personally I would like to see each new issue get spotlighted in its own thread.

Yeah -- probably be a good idea to lock down this thread and start up individual ones for each issue!

I almost bought a random IDW book just so I could get the NEXT MEN preview in the back! I successfully resisted that temptation though.Personally I would like to see each new issue get spotlighted in its own thread. --- I'd like to see everything stay in this thread.

Incidentally -- one of the curious things to come out of this new series is that Nathan has been walking around for a couple of issues now with his hair sheared off and without his glasses. It's very weird, that even tho I do the same basic underdrawing, constructing his face, he really doesn't "look like himself". I am so used to drawing him with the long hair and the specs!I can predict, too, based on past experience, that when he gets "back to normal" in the four issue, THAT won't look right to me for a while!!

I'd like to see everything stay in this thread.•• That could get cumbersome after a while, Wallace -- especially if people jump back and forth between issues. I'll keep each individual thread from locking, so that comments on earlier issues will still be possible as we get deeper into our new adventure, but I think next Wednesday will be time for this thread to go to sleep!
