"I would assume that if you allowed your four year old to interview a comic book legend in order to write an article based on his profession, you would have first taught him to familiarize himself with the medium and it's standards rather than show CONTEMPT for the medium by going in unprepared and at least clueless about, but more likely disdainful of the medium. " Wow. I can't believe you are actually serious about this...

I can't believe you seriously compared a 4 year old referring to a superhero costume as underwear, to a journalist that should really know better.
Any sane adult should be able to reasonably assume that Wonder Woman has not been running around in her underwear for the last 50 years, give or take.
A 4 year old wouldn't know any better until they are told what is correct.

Ha ha ha, that Brian Joseph Mayer. He's like Stephen Colbert; such a clever caricature.

Maybe it matters if it's spelled underwear or Underwear. That capital letter could make all the difference.

Thinking this must be the article. Standard promotion of new direction for Wonder Woman. What a terrible costume. Takes all the uniqueness of Wonder Woman and makes her a generic comic hero.
Superman Returns dropped "The American Way" and now Wonder Woman doesn't have the flag. Ugh.
Forgot to add- Captain America New costume sucks big pickles too.

Awful. I didn't expect anything better form JMS (his interview quotes and retcon history are really hard to swallow) but I would expect better from Jim Lee. Not anymore, though... Worst superhero costume ever. Especially one worn by an iconic superhero...

Oh, for heaven's sake. Talk about taking the Wonder out of the Woman! And with dread I wonder: who's next?

LOL
Anyone that is over the age of 8, that would call them underwear is an idiot and to be honest, I wouldn't trust that person to put anything I say, correctly in an article. I have been quoted several times in the paper and magazines and maybe 60% of the time they get what I said correct. With as many times as JB has been interviewed, having someone make such a big mistake would get extremely tiresome and grating.

And so the rot continues. The fact is that as much as Jim Lee and JMS might try and rationalise it, it's still a daft costume. WW's classic outfit is a daft costume, just a damn better designed and more iconic one than what they've come up with. Why can't they get over the fact that superheroes wear daft costumes. It just doesn't matter. If the story is good enough you just accept it.
They're superhero comics and they should be for kids. If, as an adult, you can enjoy that then great. If you think they should be written for you as an adult (and we all know that just means more unsavoury content rather than better stories) then you've got it wrong and you should be reading something else.
Gosh, a morning rant. I feel better for that. Now for a nice cup of tea.

That looks like an anime costume to me, or something inspired by 80's punk rock.
