The ad tells me that Quarvel just can't do bright-and-shiny without a good dollop of smegma. Bring on the Heroic Age!

Bring on the Heroic Age? For what reason? To get us to buy into more BS that M^^^^^ calls comics only to have us complaining more about the BS that's being published?

Will comics get over Watchmen? One could always hope, but considering how many fans of that book who's writing and editing comics today I'd say "No".

I have never read Watchman and considering all of the junk that has been inspired by it I have no desire too.

You would think that after the under performance of Watchmen at the box office, that the industry would get over Watchmen.

Sadly, the current pinheads who are running the Big 2, and many of the fans turn pro who are working for them, are too dumb and too embarrassed to be working on superhero comics, refuse to learn from the comic book industry's past mistakes (some of which only happened within the last 20 years).

It's official! Time to change "The House of Ideas" to "The House of Other People's Ideas".

As a young teenager I was blown away by the Watchmen and for years carried around the notion that it is a great book.

Read it again last year and really struggled to finish what I found to be a really mediocre story with great art.

It's funny because now I'm older it's the 'classic' stuff I love, JB's run on the FF and Superman. Walt Simonson's Thor, Stan Lee's and Jack Kirby's Thor and FF (actually I'm seeing a pattern here!). Real magic in these books, along with countless other I haven't mentioned.

History has shown, I think, that WATCHMEN was a signpost pointing down a dead end street.

Okay, maybe I'm stupid, but what does that ad have to do with Watchmen?
