Any "legal" immigrant who feels insulted by "illegal" immigrants can go to hell too.

Or maybe.. just maybe, this person is armed and dangerous for a reason. Last time I checked, there was a rather large drug war going on in Mexico to the point where Mexican drug cartels have adopted terrorist methods of kidnapping and beheading people. The Arizona government and residents of these border areas have fears that this violence will trickle over the border and into their state

Highly unlikely.  According to most statistics I've seen in Soc classes so called "illegal" immigrants very rarely commit violent crime.  Drug runners and members of the cartel are not immigrants, they aren't coming here to live and work.  I also highly doubt this legislation is an attempt to prevent violence from spilling over tot heir state.  If they were serious about preventing violence then they would take measures to limit gun sales in their state, which is a main source of weapons for the cartels.  This legislation was created in order to round up people they deem undesirable aka brown skinned immigrants.

 QUOTE:
Humh. That's a stumper right there. Are you suggesting that officers are in danger because of immigration?

Are you asking ME this? Because it was Victor Rodgers that suggested it upthread:

 QUOTE:
The main thing I see this Arizona bill accomplishing is causing cops to be murdered. You hear about it with people with two strikes against them. They get pulled over for a routine traffic stop, panic and murder the cop who was just telling them their turn signal is out. Arizona is now trying to manufacture these types of incidents.

I did find it curious that he presented illegal immigrants as people simply "trying to catch a break and improve their lot in life" then presents a scenario where they are driving around with deadly weapons ready to use them on the first police officer that pulls them over. Kind of an odd paradox isn't it?

 QUOTE:
Because, you know, I just did a 2 second google search and found a site here of officers killed in the line of duty, and there were a LOT of officers killed, but not too many by immigrants...

http://www.odmp.org/
Great research there! But again, I wasn't the one who presented this scenario.
A lot of these officers were brought down by guns. Are you going to go on record and suggest we ban guns? Or just brown people from Mexico?

I'm suggesting that you please read who is posting what and stop trying to race-bait me with someone elses words. Fair 'nuff?

It's pretty clear that Brandon has no idea how the laws are written in regards to Mexican Immigration, if he thinks it's a simple matter of some honest folk filling out forms while criminals sneak over.

I also wonder who planted that fantasy story in his head?

Tell you what, sport, you go read those laws, I mean really study up on them, and not the horseshit that's being peddled on FOX and the radio, and when you're ready to come back and deal with the facts and what's really happening with immigration, then I'll see fit to debate you.

By the way, for the rest of you all here - did you know that the new amended law in AZ now says that you can't just grab a random Mexican and demand papers, but that you can grab a random Mexican and demand papers if their lawn in unkept? If they're playing music?

The current bizarre laws on the books that work against Mexicans coming in that fly in the face of our free market demands for the sub-minimum-wage labor (so you can get $1 cheeseburgers and plastic crap at your Whulmurt.) are one set of woes for our nation, but Arizona's new law? Even in it's new "less offensive" version? It would be unbelievable... that is, if we weren't the same nation that ran Sarah Palin as a serious candidate for the office of Vice President.

These are your words that I am replying to:

Or maybe.. just maybe, this person is armed and dangerous for a reason. Last time I checked, there was a rather large drug war going on in Mexico to the point where Mexican drug cartels have adopted terrorist methods of kidnapping and beheading people. The Arizona government and residents of these border areas have fears that this violence will trickle over the border and into their state. These are VALID fears and maybe you should consider what it's like to actually live there before you climb up on your moral high horse and cast a net of racism over everyone who supports laws that are supposed to help keep them safe. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Go hide your head in shame, kid.

No I would say the state was an accomplish to murder. They created a dangerous situation when it was not needed,

So by your own assessment, illegal immigrants are dangerous people who drive around with loaded guns ready to shoot police officers at any provocation? That is how you are characterizing the people you are defending?

Who is the real racist here Victor?

I guess that answers my question.

Wait, I'm not done with you, yet - you managed to shit out this gem, too:

Kind of an odd paradox isn't it?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Are you even thinking before you type? Seriously? If a large group of people are trying to do one thing ("trying to catch a break and improve their lot in life") and then a car of people does another (You know, where you say "they", in the same breath as the first instance, as if to say, those same people who are trying to catch a break), by what logic on earth - I mean normal human logic, not that shit they peddle on FOX - I mean correct logic - how does one statement lead to the other?
Here - watch this:
I think America is the best nation on Earth! I think some Americans have done bad things.
So, by your logic, somehow, I'm some nut who just can't decide if America be good, or, duh, be bad...
How about debating what I actually SAY instead of what you assume I say?
Show me where I said it was "simple" for immigrants to come here legally.
In fact, it's NOT simple and is likely a lot of work which was my point. It's not an easy task yet thousands of legal immigrants managed to do it. How about not shitting all over their efforts by suggesting the illegals get be handed citizenship on a platter because the process is just too damn hard.
By the way, which school did you get YOUR law degree from? Just curious.
You've lost the debate already son and your arrogant and condescending tone with me isn't going to change that. Since the best you can muster is multiple variations of "you hate all brown people" to every point I make, I think the real point is made.
Jesus Christ this has reached ludicrous proportions. You're taking points Victor Rodgers brought up, and throwing my responses to them into my face as if the original points were mine.
Let me make one last attempt to educate you here. First, Victor is the one who suggested that this law will cause "cops to be murdered" Are you with me so far? good. Now, cops (plural) does not suggest ONE incident, i.e. a car full of people. In fact, he presented it as if it could be a common occurrence.
These people doing this hypothetical killing would be illegal immigrants. He made no distinction between the "just-want-a-better-life" illegals and his hypothetical cop-killing illegals (since in his eye it's the states fault, not theirs).
Heh, this from the guy who has twisted everything I have said into "I hate all brown people!" no matter how much I have explained otherwise.
By the way Mike, apparently 70% of Americans polled are in favor of the Arizona law.
So maybe the American people are finally getting fed up with the far left and their constant race-baiting tactics.
