Just...wow, what a startling comparison. Getting back to
the "Hallowe'en Costume" thing...Reeve IS Superman, Routh
is a kid in a bad Superman costume.

Funny thing, Routh was actually older, when he got the part, than Reeve. I may be in the minority, but I've always thought that Routh could be a great Superman. His costume is all wrong, and so is his hair, but he has the look. And, with a director that understands the character, he might actually feel like Superman too.

Any of these small Kirby panels are more dynamic than the Superman cover below...

Sure, if your image of Superman is a big nosed, doe eyes, narrow faced, weak chinned kid.

I re-read every single post from yesterday, and I couldn't find one saying you only work for the money...

...tee hee hee hee.  Couldn't resist that one...no harm intended...moving on...

That's a great Kirby page. And I really like the Alex Toth page too.

This altered photo of Routh does illustrate just how off his costume and hair really was.

That Kirby page is incredible!  I'm sure that many of today's "sophisticated" readers would grouse about the lack of backgrounds though...

Another theory I came up with about the "vacuum sealed" costumes: The costumes are wet. If you wear a costume and swim in it, it sticks to your body like that.
