I find it amazing how both JB and George Perez arrived at almost exactly the same design choices in their respective Pietas. Perez may have been inspired by the Thor cover, but he obviously departed from it substantially. Odin's head is down, while Superman's is tilted to the side and slightly back, which is exactly how JB posed Cyclops. Thor's thighs are together, while Supergirl's left thigh is raised slightly above her right, just like JB's Phoenix. Thor's head is almost level with his body, and his hair is still on his shoulders, while Supergirl's head is down, with hair dangling loose, just like Phoenix.
It's fascinating to me that two artists with fundamentally different styles could make almost exactly the same decisions in posing a scene like this. Really, the only noticeable difference in the pose that I can see is that Supergirl's left hand is on her stomach, while Jean's is hidden.

The Crisis/X-Men/Thor cover has been done a lot. Wizard did a mini article on it a few years ago, and as I recall they had about a dozen different covers using this particular set up.

As far as swipes go. I know it's happened a lot. I know a number of artists have done it. But it's pretty bad when a website can devote an entire page to one artist's swipes.

For some reason nobody seems to be caught swiping ... at least not until a couple of years after the swipe.

Yeah, but, as determined upthread, "inspired by" doesn't equal a swipe. Sure, they look similar, but aren't literal swipes.
Now, the Cable/ Roadblock, two Helicarrier shots and Sunfire/ Torch are certainly swipes.

Well, a single pose is one thing. An entire layout, quite another. I would concede that it's not a swipe, though.
