JB, just gotta say, never seen that Giant Sized Flash page before, but I think that it could be one of my favourites. Nice and solid. What was that inked with?
Well done to Nathan for getting that as well. Not jealous in the slightest.

Barry Allen wasn't a boring character.
Maybe Cary Bates drew the Trial out too long. But look at how long stories are drawn out these days, and considered great.
Flash #'s 300 - 325 are some of Bates' best stories.

Okay, I'm liking this. Nathan you're back on the Christmas Card list.
Do you, or anyone else, know who has that page?

I don't think anyone I'd consider a bad writer ever wrote a Barry Allen story before the book was canceled: Kanigher, Broome, Fox, Robbins, Friedrich, Wein, Bates? All top-notch comics writers to me. But, at the time, just like Superman, a different approach was desired. Ultimately, we got a lot of good Wally West comics, AND the return of Barry Allen. Win win, as far as I'm concerned, if the new Barry stories are also good.

Wally was originally written by men from the 1950's too!
Well, interestingly there isn't a scene up there where Wally acts like a d*ck whenever anyone looks cross-eyed at Raven, or he cuckold's some supervillain.
Nothing like growing up, eh?

I don't think anyone better get too excited about Geoff Johns Flash. As his wont, Johns isn't writing Barry Allen but some weird Rain Man character and has Johns trademark excessive retarded gore, since he's apparently trying to lure new readers who've never read a Flash comic before.

...nailed shut the coffin on DC's Silver Age.
Which DC is scrambling to resurrect in the Superman titles as we speak
Really? I never knew in the Silver Age the companies removed their star icons from their comics, cancelled two of their longest-running titles, and essentially whored out their best characters to their "superstar" talent who haven't a clue what they're supposed to be doing with comic books.
