If I had Photoshop access right now, I'd do it, but I'm wondering how much
cooler those black-and-white Alpha Flight and Peter Parker covers would've
been with black and white logos.
And stripped of the corner boxes and the logo, the Peter Parker cover would
have been a killer poster. That's one of my absolute favorite shots of
Spider-Man's black costume.

Marvel two in one #99 - the one with Rom and Ben on the cover,
How do you make an expressionless cyborg look mad?

FF#260 (posted by Darrell Hempel above) is a close second for me.

I wasn't going to post here because after browsing through all of John's FF, Alpha Flight, Hulk and She Hulk covers I couldn't pick just one.
Then, while reading through the "Negative Space" thread, I was reminded of the only comic book page that had actually made me shed actual tears.
Even though it's by no means bad it's probably not what I would have picked in terms of artwork. But still, it's the first comic I'd recommend if anyone asked why I like John Byrne so much.
Best Byrne comic EVER.

I'd go with JB's pick.

This was the first JB comic that I read. It was reprinted in the weekly Secret Wars II mag over here.

Namor 17 because it both revealed and concealed the twist of Who is Iron Fist? Beautifully done, and added a lot to my enjoyment of the issue (I don't think I knew who the Super-Skrull was before that comic, I know I hadn't read a story with him in it but JB made him into a huge badass, and a big deal in the course of that story. Other writers seem to treat him as either an afterthought or a moron for some reason).
And Superman 20, just because it looks so damn cool.

Extremely difficult to pick just one, but I'll go with, Alpha Flight #17.
