Tonight, the role of Grima Wormtongue will be played by Joe Zhang.

The statement about how JB doesn't really want to be doing books for IDW seems pretty snide and tactless to me.  That's just one example.

But I guess, like Brevoort himself says, we're all entitled to say stupid things on the internet.

Funny, I was about to ask the same thing.  And who fills the role of Theoden?

Wow! A lot can happen in one evening! Glad to see Marc Guggenheim stop by.

I'd completely agree than the current Amazing Spider-Man is a good fit for JB's challenge. It's an all-ages friendly superhero comic book with one-, two- and three-issue storylines. It's very easy for new readers to jump in - Marc & company are doing a fantastic job with this. And I'm a long-time fan who was completely turned off by the JMS run.

I'd encourage more folks here to give Amazing Spider-Man a shot. I think you'll find it's what we've all be wanting. Heck, they've even brought Roger Stern back to the book! The only problem is that the new approach to Amazing Spider-Man seems to be the exception, and not the rule, at Marvel these days.

I think Theoden is pretty obvious. And I agree with John Benson's comment.

Really?  So, Grima-Zhang is really working for evil Saruman-Brevoort?  Or is Brevoort playing the part of Gandalf?

Well, JB would be Theoden, but I don't know who Saruman is. Hence my question.

MARVEL ADVENTURES
+++
Frankly, I´d find it insulting to see JB work in the kiddie line while the "real" characters are stuck in the S/M Leather-Bondage 616 Universe.

The times I´ve given in to temptation and picked up a NuMarvel book, usually, because of JRJR, I´ve felt unclean.

Like, in Planet Hulk, there is action and you can follow the main story ok, but then SENTRY shows up and you get a glimpse of an universe in which Reed Richards is in cahoots with Stephen Strange and the blah-blah-blah-illuminatti...definitely, NOT the characters I love.

And I feel sorry to have opened that door.

"You've confused me"

Not my fault you're easily confused.
