Miller wiping his hairy posterior with both comic books and Will Eisner's memory in one year. I don't even think Grant Morrison can top that one.

i don't really mind swearing in comics (or anywhere else for that matter) but this looks out of place. Like the writer was going "hummm where can i drop a few "C" and "F" bombs? oh i know... here, and here and here!"

It looks staged and unnatural.

I knew something like this would happen when i started seeing too many comics with  "%$&#"/#"...

Swearing in comics? Not a problem.

Swearing in superhero comics starring legacy characters that should be suitable for readers of all ages. I have a huge problem with that.

Frank Miller shouldn't be allowed anywhere near Batman.  Frank Miller should be banned from ever writing a word about Wonder Woman.  And Frank Miller shouldn't even be able to say, write or draw Superman

Hard to see how it was anything but calculated.  If it was to be expletives deleted, you can simply type %^&*# in a computer file or use a magic marker over blanks on a printed page.  Many talk about how the media (tv esp.) has rotted our brains / morality and I've railed against it saying tv and media are just a mirror, not the ringleader.  Sure, sales will spike for the next couple issues, but when things like this happen in an all ages book, I can't help but admit that we all lost a little ground today.

Still, they've a long, long ways to go before either of them is any Alan Moore.

The glitch occurred in the printing. No one at DC new about it until they saw
the issues.

*******************

Which is an awfully shitty way of producing a periodical entertainment magazine/ pamphlet.

you'd be surprised as to how much stuff happens due to poor judgement!

Miller should be ashamed. If you don't want to write the character correctly,
don't write it at all.

••

If that's the position to be taken, it should have been taken when Frank did
DARK KNIGHT RETURNS. Instead, everyone fell all over themselves cheering
his "vision" of Batman. So for 20 years now, every time Frank has come near
the character, his Batman has been declared "definitive". Suddenly it isn't?

I'm not a big fan of Dark Knight Returns either.  The depiction of Superman in that was maddening.  Didn't think much of the way he handled Batman either, and the whole thing seemed done for shock value.  Plus, the art, in places was awful

DKR John.  I am obviously in the minority, but I am not a fan of that story.
