Why didn't he cuss out during his entire interview then? It's just his gimmick for attention.

---------------------

Because he's not a character in a comic written by him?

I'm not a fan of The Spirit but fans who've seen the trailer for Miller's version
don't seems to happy.

••

I does seem that Frank is doing to the Spirit exactly what he claimed for so
many years to be afraid of happening to his own properties in Hollywood.

This is irony you could cut steak with!

I can see the headlines now:

FRANK MILLER'S GONE HOLLYWOOD!

I dunno. I was unimpressed with the Spirit Trailer, too, but I'm probably going to give it a whirl anyway. The seats are pretty comfortable at my local movie theatre and they have some convenient late-night screenings (after all my girls got to bed, that is).

Worse than can happen is that my snoring will get some laughs.

Loved 300 and SIN CITY.  However, that doesn't give Miller a pass for what I've seen of THE SPIRIT.  Big old "Pass" from me.

Somewhat of a thread drift but at the beginning of the Spirit trailer(why is "the Spirit" in the same font as "300"?) it boldly flashes:  Frank Miller: creator of 300 and Sin City.  What allows him to take credit for "creating" 300?  If he re-tells or modernizes Hercules will he get credit for creating that as well?

So, probably, talking to him, for free, for a minute, is probably more interesting than plunking down money on something that takes forever to come out. What I'm getting at is he most likely put in more work into this interview than he did the entire comic.

Ah, but there is a method to my madness: I get half-off coupons, get to scope out some late night honeys, drink a half gallon of cafeinated NON-DIET soda, and walk out of the theatre feeling vindicated in my low opinion of Mr. Millerwood.

Not bad for $4.17 USD.

Of course, there's the off chance that the movie will actually be good ... which would give me one less thing to bitch about, unfortunately.

Oh come on.  There are a ton of things to bash Miller for as is evidenced in this very thread.  This is just silly.  He created the work called 300 upon which the film is based.
