Oh, it was so that the blackout bars "would be the right length" or some
such ripe bullshit. Didn't you hear?

I quit after the first issue. The breaking point for me was when Batman was laughing hysterically while killing several crooked cops with his Batmobile.

Ok, they didn't explicitly say that the cops died, but c'mon, what else would happen when you ram a car at an oncoming motorcycle at full speed?

Oh I heard, I'm just waiting for the "no horseshit" version.

The important thing to keep in mind here, is that civilians reading real world press stories, or hearing about this on the news, will not react to a glitch in a mature, adult oriented publication. This is Batman, and despite 20 years of grown-up (more or less) movies, the response to the comics is still OH MY GOD! LOOK WHAT THEY'RE SELLING TO MY CHILDREN!!!

This will always be the problem, as long as DC lacks the collective editorial spine to slap some big ol' MATURE* READERS ONLY warning labels on these masturbatory excesses.

* HA!

More printing errors cause more DC delays:

 Press release wrote:
...Due to a series of printing errors, Action Comics #869, All Star Batman & Robin the Boy Wonder #10, and DCU Decisions #1 will not be on sale Sept. 10, as previously scheduled. DC Comics is working to get the books reprinted and into stores as soon as possible...

This is pop psychology at its worst, but Miller's a strong opponent of censorship.  He probably wrote the script he wanted, damn the self-censorship, and left the responsibility for blacking out to the powers that be.  With all the "goddamns" that were already being allowed, I can see this POV.

I'm not a fan of The Spirit but fans who've seen the trailer for Miller's version don't seems to happy. Brian Michael Bendis said that it scared him and not in a good way.

Why didn't he cuss out during his entire interview then? It's just his gimmick for attention.

What happened to Action Comics?  What was the error there?
