It would be cool if IDW could set up a deal with John Carbonaro (the owner of THUNDER Agents) to license THUNDER Agents, but it looks less and less likely that these characters will ever see print again.

I've never read an issue of T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents but this is awesome.

I miss the days of really good covers that leaps out and grabs one attention without mercy. Perhaps needless to say, given my previous post, but THIS would be one book I'd pick up without hesitation.

Nice commission. I enjoyed THUNDER Agents back in the day, and was reminded of them watching Heroes on television (relatively ordinary people suddenly getting super powers). Considering my fondness for the Vision, it should come as no surprise to anyone that my favorite Agent was NoMan. Good to see them all again.

Incidentally, what are the individual characters called? And who's who in the picture? (based on Wayde's comment above, I'm guessing NoMan is the caped one).

Also what powers do they possess?

Lightning's the Speedster.  He gets his powers from his suit.  Which kills him a little bit more every time he uses it.

Raven's the dude in flight.  A late commer to the group.  He could fly and, like the others, his powers came from his suit.

NoMan's a scientist who had his consciousness transplanted into a robot body.  He's also got lots of back ups that he can switch to.

Dynamo's the de facto leader in the stuff I read.  His powers come from his belt.  He's the strong guy.

Up in Heaven, Wally Wood is smiling broadly, thinking "Damn!  This Byrne kid came along a generation too late!"

As someone who originally picked these up off the newsstands, I echo his sentiments.  Great piece, JB!

Came this><close to working with Wood on some of his creator owned
characters, very early in my career. Even got to exchange a few letters with
him.

Now, who can tell us why all this places the Awesome Android at
something of a disadvantage?
