Supadupa! I enjoy the background perspectives; busy, but always clean.

Man, I remember the T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents. The characters were pretty cool from what I remember. At least the four JB has on displayed in the commission.

Appropriate that you should make that observation about this piece in
particular, since T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents are closely associated with Wally
Wood, whose advice on backgrounds was, I am told, "Keep it busy!"

THUNDER Agents? From Charlton Comics, right? Of all the things that could've been, had they not gone down the way they did...
The added bonus was the crossover with Marvel ala the Mad Thinker and his awsome android. If Marvel really thought their "Initiative" setup through, they could've taken the tack that Charlton did with THUNDER Agents, although with a bit more angst and melodrama thrown into the mix. But that's my thinking, not Joe Q's or Brian Bendis's...

Tower Comics, Carmen. Not Charlton.

The T.H.U.N.D.E.R.Agents come from Tower Comics originally.

The Higher United Nations Defense Enforcement Reserves = T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents started out over at Tower Comics in 1965.
The talent Woody had working with him was enormous: Gil Kane, Mike Sekowsky, Steve Ditko, Reed Crandall, Dan Adkins, Frank Esposito, Ralph Reese, Paul Reinman, Al Williamson and more (plenty more). I don't know why the whole thing failed. Distribution? The comics were .25 cents when the rest were .12 cents?
Dynamo and NoMan got their own comics, as did the U.N.D.E.R.S.E.A. Agent (United Nations Department of Experiment
and Research Systems Established at Atlantis.) but these were all short-lived.
DC has some nice Archives of the series. It's fun to see JB's take on the characters.

I love these cross-company matchups.
It really appears that JB can draw anything.

Awesome T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents. I've always liked that group. Finally picked up the last of the Archive editions that DC printed at WWC this year.
