The VIP is a little stiff. It was only $50 last year. $100 is the same price a low end VIP costs at Chicago. Having said that, I took the plunge and hope that more extras kick in closer to the con.

Giarrusso is a nice addition. He was in Charotte this year and did this for my grandson. Super nice fella....

I'll be there in the Creator's Commons area. Communication with the higher-ups at the show has been next to nonexistant, but I did get my table confirmation, so there's that.

Chris Giarrusso sent over the Mid-Ohio-Con poster art with the finished inks today with appropriate props to JB in the bottom left corner:

I'm really looking forward to seeing the colors!

The 5th of October is the Whooly Bear Festival in Vermillion, so I'll certainly be attending MOC on Saturday! Hope to see everyone there!!!

Perhaps it's a "joke" on his blindness?
Looks like it is a running joke :) {pun intended}

I'm really looking forward to getting a sketch from Chris Giarrusso...
Well, the Mid-Ohio con website has been updated, and boy oh boy is it gonna be a fun weekend! Some guy named "Dave Aikins" is gonna be there again, and I'd just like to say a big thanks to James for beefing up my bio and making me look good (also for taking the time to say "hi"), as well as being willing to take over our town's show, even though he's in Conneticut (that's gotta be a tiny bit odd. James do you know where the show is at? Don't get lost and end up in Dayton)...
I think the con has a very loyal following, but I think we can do better this year and bring in some newbies! So, if you're on the fence, get off your butt and come to Columbus! Our normal crappy thanksgiving weather will be no problem this year! No longer will we stand out in the sleet/freezing rain/snow waiting to get in! It'll be lovely October weather!!!! Heck, I picked the same weekend to get married, so it can't be all that bad!
There will NOT be a local OSU game that weekend, but the bars will be hopping on Saturday due to the game @ Wisconsin. Also, Saturday night should be our monthly Gallery Hop downtown, which makes norther downtown High St a hopping place. Sunday night, Oct 5, Robin Williams is in town. So, we can walk from the con to the theater and throw things at him for the horror that was "Patch Adams". Come on, James- Get Mork to stop by the con!
For those of you that only know downtown Columbus from Thanksgiving weekend, I think you'll be surprised. It should be a much more social atmosphere, and a lot more fun!
Anyway...
Is Roger still going to be the announcer?

Does anyone know the hours of the show? Since I'll have a four hour drive on Sunday, I'd like to get there as soon as I can.

Derek,
I don't think the hours have officially been posted but every year I've gone since 2001 the doors opened at 10:00am both days.

Is there some significance to the sideways V sign they all seem to be
making on that cover?

Thanks, Joe. That's what I figured. Comic shows are usually 10-6 Sat and 10-5 Sun. I just want to make sure since I have the drive from Michigan, go to the show and then on to Atlanta. Hopefully I can get to the show by 11 am or so.
edited becuz my message read unclear.

My guess would be it represents the "scissors" in "Rock, Paper, Scissors" title.
