Yes. The page is "grayed", and then the while of the paper is restored for the
snow (except the falling snow, which is cloned from a separate sheet
scanned for just that purpose).

No. That's your first sneak of one of the steps toward the finished
pages.

Awesome. I especially love the detail on the castle.

No. Since I'm coloring this issue, I want it to be a surprise when everybody
sees the pages. (Yes, I am getting tricky in my old age.)

Limiting my construction lines -- and especially perspective grids -- due to
this being shot from the pencils, I very literally "built" the castle from the
ground up. Kinda nerve-wracking, so glad you like it!

 QUOTE:
That timeline was neat, but where was it ever established that Cecily, the girl
William wrote the bloody awful poems for, was Halfrek?

It was hinted at in the Buffy episode "Older and Far Away"...when Halfrek and Spike meet, they do a double-take, with Halfrek remarking, "William?"  Joss Whedon later stated that Cecily and Halfrek were one and the same, and that element was expanded upon in PAD's Spike: Old Friends one-shot for IDW.

Ah.

Did the same actress play Cecily or did someone else? I remember Cecily
was a blonde, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything.

[edited to add] Never mind -- a quick bit of research reveals that she was
indeed played by the same person and that the recognition between Halfrek
and Spike was intentional. Neat.

I see a sprinkle of Blood Of The Demon in these panels.  You make the creepiest castles, Mr. Byrne.
