I'd never seen those Doctor Strange covers before -- if it weren't for the Byrne and Milgrom names, I'd have sworn they were Ditko covers.

Those STRANGE covers were Sooooooo much fun!
I had not really sat down and pored over Ditko as I
did working on them since I was a kid tracing his
Spider-Man shots. Of course, even in those
pre-InterNet days there were fans who were ticked
off that they were "just" Ditko swipes. Some folk
don't realize just how tough it is to not only copy a
pose, but a style.
Much credit for that goes to Al, of course. I managed
to get most of it, but he has an uncanny ability to ape
Ditko's inking technique --- tho he never quite did
explain to me how his name ended up in front of
mine on that first cover!!
har-umph!!

I thought Milgrom gave your Chapter One art a little "Ditko" tweak as well.

Anybody has scans of TOMB of Dracula giant-sized story from JB ?
I never seen this art in my life.

Doh!
How did I manage to neglect this thread for so long? Maybe
