"...as opposed to the 2 hours that, say, a page of X-MEN took."

(Place a sound effect of my jaw hitting the floor...)

Hard to believe, since we're talking about a comic starred by a group with
an art quality so high that left a mark on a generation of comic lovers!!
(me included, 'course!)

But I suppose that it was necessary to be so fast with the workload you
did at the time...

John, talking about your classic X-Men run, I can't avoid to ask you a
question that bugged me for years:
-Do you keep photocopies of your pencil work on it?

I hardly recall to see any of them, and I'd LOOOVE to take a look at them!
Even if you're not interested to show them, I'm very curious to know if
they exist...

It would be fantastic to enjoy graphitte editions of these comics! You
could count on me as a potential buyer!

Superman and Lois got a new hairdo in the published cover. From the
collection of Mark Tomlinson.

I don't know how they could do it. Maybe did they use kryptonite scissors?

According the owner, Richard Donnelly, this is the first illo made by JB of a
X-Men character, which was published in the FOOM magazine.

John, is this true?

This pretty much typifies why it has been less and less fun to work in
mainstream comics in the past twenty years or so. Draw it THIS way! THIS
is the way it looks! THIS is the way it will ALWAYS look now! ---- Oh, we
changed it, by the way.

Speaking of firsts; the owner of this page states it is the very first appearance of Titania (V1); I wonder why they felt the need for the second (and better known) version.
