Hello everyone, new guy here but I have been a long time Byrne fan.  In the past few days I have read through various threads in here and seen some amazing art I haven't seen before.

I and a few others are involved in project to identify all the art on the 1975 and 1977 Marvel Slurpee cups and we have essentially identified them all except two.  One is the 1977 Iron Fist cup and the other is the 1977 Black Panther cup.  Several of us think that Mr. Byrne might have contributed to the art in the Black Panther cup but since no one can seem to find were the original art appeared we can only theorize.

Below is a scan of the two parts of the cup joined together so you can get a better view of all the art.  Please let me know if you think this was done by Mr. Byrne and if this art appeared anywhere else besides on the cup.  If you look at the second part of the cup under the tree limb there is what appears to be a signature and date... I am not sure if that is Mr. Byrne's though.  Thank you all in advance for any assistance you can offer.

I think you might be right, Joel. Something about the clouds: they're very
dense, and the "lumps" are all the same general size. JB's clouds of the era
tended to have more variation.

Yeah, I'm also looking at the right arm.... looks like George's early anatomy.... kind of... fat hands and he rounded arms... looks like his early FF work, Logan's Run... that era...

I can readily see the confusion, there are some strong similarities, especially that vintage, between JB and GP.

Thanks for all the assistance everyone... I can tell you all gave this some thought and I appreciate it.  I will begin to look through GPs art for this image and see if that bears any fruit.  I don't remember him doing any Black Panther art around that time frame except his Avengers work but at least I have something to go on.

Hi,

I'm new at this thread so, although I almost looked all the past posts on
it, maybe this image could be old news to you. Excuse me if it is the case.

It's a comparation among two different originals of the Superman #6
cover and the published cover.

The first one is the rejected version. The second one looks the final
version, but the published cover still suffered slight changes, like the
removal of the floor and that all the image was reduced to leave room to
the logo and the copy. Probably must exist another original which would
be a production copy.

It would be great if Byrne could provide more info about it...
