Huh, didn't know that. My mom's 66th birthday would have been today (she passed 3 years ago).

My wife's father died 11 years ago last month. It still seems to have been incredibly recent. Her mother, though, died 27 years ago -- and that seems prehistoric.

This October will be the tenth year since I lost my father. It definitely doesn't seem that it's been so long for me, either.

Time is an odd thing.  My father passed away seven years ago and my mother has beed in a nursing home with early-onset Alzheimer's for six years.  Both seem "normal" to me.  But when I think about it, it doesn't seem that long ago when I was talking with my father or getting phone calls from my mother.  Time, as we perceive it, is both incredibly long and so, so short.

Time goes by faster as we get older. I remember 'old' people saying that to me when I was young and I couldn't imagine it, but now it seems to be becoming real, and it scares me.:^(
