My condolences, JB.  I lost my mom two weeks ago today to Alzheimers.  Sometimes, it just doesn't feel real.

My grandmother passed away last November, and I just celebrated my 29th birthday yesterday - my first without her.

I can't really picture these things getting easier with time, and my heart goes out to you JB. The numbers keep playing in my head - the date, the exact time I got the call, the exact time I managed to pull myself out of bed to go to my mother's place, just to be with her. A year is a lot, and I'm not there yet, but I know when I am those numbers are going to hurt even more.
