it's such an "unreal-realization"...realizing that someone who was so much a part of your life has been gone for such a substantial period of time.  My mom's been dead for almost 17 years...two more and she will have been absent from my life (physically) for longer than I knew her.  man, life is just too short!

One year today, by the date. Yesterday, by the day.  Seems both less and more.

JB-

My sincerest sympathies are with you as you experience the joys and sorrows that accompany the anniversary of your mother's passing.  My mom passed away just before I joined the forum in late 2007.  My wife, my father, and I, had our own one year anniversary a few months back.  Times like these are filled with laughter and tears.  I hope you and your father have opportunity to visit either by phone or in person to share good memories!
