Just to be sure you're all every bit as jealous of Jim as you should be…

This is my favourite of all the commisions, JB! Gorgeous! I'm not even a huge Doom fan but this piece just captures the character perfectly. It's both majestic and evil. Wow! I'm jealous.

I've offered Matthew Warden his choice of any of my 3 daughters for when he's of marrying age. There's 3 or 4 more of his big commissions I can think of that aren't even up there.

…he is just waiting for the imbecile before him to finish groveling, so he can just put him out of his misery with that gun…•• To borrow a gag from the Wizard of Id. . . Peasant: Mercy! Mercy! BLAM BLAM BLAM Doom: He must have been French. He thanked me.

When I clicked on this thread, and the image popped up,
I made a funny 'OOOooohhh...' sound like when you get kicked
in the nards. Odd sound to make, but there y'go.
Byrne's Doom is the best, and this portrait is testament to that.
Perfect Doom.

Not a pet. Jeepers! Do you really think Doom would put his foot on a pet??
It's a stone carving.

Well, this was the first time I've ever gasped audibly in amazement at seeing a bunch of lines on paper. Now I know how that feels like. Thank you, sir!

John,
I'd wager a tremendous reception to a commission like this makes you want to get right back to the drawing board
