Beautiful piece.

Love the way you convey the different textures as well as all the little details throughout the picture.

Thanks! Texture is something I have been chasing my whole career.
Usually, alas, my textures come thru only when I ink my own work -- tho
there have been a few happy exceptions.

This is the first time I've seen a commicion piece that made me say:

"That is gonna fetch HUGE money somewhere down the road."

"You know what's going up on auction? The Byrne Doom!"  I can see it.

It made me think that between this one and the Sauron Wolverine piece (not to mention the several splash pages he owns), the Warden collection has the makings of a John Byrne Museum.

Wow! This is fantastic! I love the detail work in the background.

Oh, and I love the evil-looking lizard at Doom's feet. It's just a cool detail that drew my eye.
