Darkseid approacheth -- but "only" as an 11x17, backgroundless piece.

I really hope a member asks for a commission about Doom's thoughts.  I'm sure it won't be friendly.  LOL!  The title "Inside Dr. Doom's Brain"

Bet Doom is doing quite well on the commissions count chart.  With Doom done, and Darkseid on the way, we can call it "D" week...

After the recent vs Big Barda I am looking forward to seeing Darkseid; shame we won't see him on apokolypse; amongst the firepits perhaps. I hope we see more villains; Joker would be cool.

Every molecule of black ink perfectly placed and every area of white space expertly left untouched. And another thumbs-up for the many finely described textures.

I love the way the close-up scans give a real feel of how the piece was inked, it gives it so much... freshness.

Darkseid won't be getting done this week. There are three large pieces
ahead of him in the queue.

Two more large one; can't wait. I am surprised though that we have not seen too many standard commissions so far this year; those have been my favorites. Still we have had plenty to see.

True Stuart, not too many standards yet, but the year is young...

What a fantastic piece.  I'm in awe of the art.  But at the same time, it makes me lament the fact that JB is not doing a regular monthly book featuring any of the Marvel characters he does so well.  Revisiting the characters through commissions has to suffice -- and the commission work is great -- but think about how it would be to have a monthly issue of Fantastic Four written, drawn, and inked by JB.  The trades are one way to get a "dose" of JB's FF, but looking at how he has grown as an artist you think about what he could do with his increased skills now . . .
