That Captain Marvel points up perfectly why Eaglemoss are doing
themselves such a disservice with the images they use to promote these
things. We all KNOW Hawkman isn't going to look nearly that good at 3
inches.

Well I just got some crap news. I was at Midtown Comics this afternoon to
pick up my Mark I Iron Man. The clerk and I got to chatting, and she told me
that they didn't think they were going to be able to get the DC line in at all.
She was under the impression that there were legal complications
prohibiting them from importing lead products.

Looks like I'm going to have to plan more trips to London.

Well, I got my Captain Marvel yesterday and I have to say I am rather disapointed due to the difference of scale between some characters.

I will post a pic of Billy next to Superman and you will notice the difference of size, especially between the heads ! Billy's head is as big as Luthor's and Superman seems to be less muscular (non sense !!!).

However, the pose is fine and I like the cape effect.

In 2 weeks, the Riddler...

Superman seems to be less muscular (than Captain Marvel).

••

No "internal" reason for Superman to be as muscular as Cap, really. Captain
Marvel is a magical creation, and so has the physique with which Shazam
endowed him. Superman, on the other hand, got his build the hard way, by
using those muscles. And that poses once more the question I found
myself asking when I was getting ready to do MAN OF STEEL -- how did
Superman build up his impressive physique? Supergirl was just as strong as
him (not proportionately -- just as strong) which made sense in the Silver
Age, when Kryptonian powers were deemed infinite, so everybody had the
same levels of strength (including Krypto!) -- but Supergirl had a soft, "girlish"
build. So where did Superman's big muscles come from?

Sounds unlikely. The Marvel figures continue to flow into the Country.
