Flavio Sapha: The RISE of homages/swipes amazes me.  I was a comic fan for ten years before I knew what the covers of Spider-man #1 or X-Men#1 looked like.  Now, they´re re-done every five issues.

--------------------

This just goes to show artists should be creating more classicaly designed covers again, instead of rehashing old ones. I miss covers that have a preview about what the issue is about.

this listing on ebay while a swipe, is definately stealing. The description says

"This awesome original OIL PAINTING of BATMAN/CAPTAIN AMERICA is nothing short of an amazing work of art by Swedish artist MIKE S. MALL.

Mike's ability to depict comic characters into a large oil painting is possibly due to his love for comics aswell as being a great artist."

Paulo, Zelda's apartment is a "redress" of Monica and Rachel's apartment
from FRIENDS. Not the first time I have been down that particular route.
The Grey homestead in X-MEN was the Steven's house from BEWITCHED
(there with the same furnishings!) and the Richards/Benjamin house in
Connecticut was my own house in Evanston.
