And I am not a lapdog. JB and I have respectfully disagreed many times on many topics.

Many? Name 5 and I'll leave you alone.

How "noble" of you.

Not playing this game. Feel free to dig up various threads in the Star Trek, TV, and Movies sections if you want examples.

If pressed, I will provide examples, but I'd rather not name names.  The root of the issue is what concerns me, and should concern you.  Alienating and driving away long-time fans with your egregious lack of tact and respect for others.  It happens all the time here.

I don't need to name three, but if pressed, I will.

Consider yourself pressed. You have stated that "dozens and dozens" of
the so-called "Bad Byrne Stories" are true. Put up, or shut up.

(Editing your post to try to protect yourself is really a waste of everybody's
time.)

It's at the very least peculiar that someone who has lost a close relative would come in a long thread and post the news there and then use the loss as part of his argument. I don't know, maybe that's the way his mind clicked or whatever.

I am on and off on this thread and I did find it strange that Greg took this road.

I for one would prefer he was a liar and an asshole than someone who has just lost a parent. The first you can overcome. The other, sadly, you can't...

"Anal boy"

"Fuckface"

"then you are a complete asshole"

Before this thread gets nuked:  I enjoyed Spidey through-out the 2nd Clone Saga but hit a brick wall with Judas Traveller.  I didn't understand (accept) him nor did I understand Eizikel (sp) or Morlun.  Alas I will always buy THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN because I have them all (groans from the audience) and because he's my favorite super-hero. Brand New Day seems like a destination that nobody wants to meet except for the creators.

Oh and "I'm GLAD this asshole is dead", while the Irwins undoubtedly could care less your opinion of the crocodile hunter, many, many of your fans were driven off by that bit of callousness.

How many times have you insulted Roy Thomas and Bob Layton?
Red sweater?  No, it's called empathy.

I'll stop, I'm sure I'm done here anyway.

For the record JB, I think it's great you come on here so much and interact with your fans.  I love your work and have at one point or another purchased the vast majority of it.  I've bought about 20 pages from Jim Warden, and will keep getting your stuff even if you start drowning kittens on YouTube.  I just wish you were less self-destructive with your marketing (and essentially, that's what this site is, like it or not) so I could look forward to getting an endless supply of Byrne material in the future.

Out of context, like so many of the "Bad Byrne Stories"? Indeed they do.

But probably not the one you want.

None?

(Is this a trick question?)

But those are whole sentences....how can you take a whole sentence out of context?

I just wish you were less self-destructive with your marketing…

••

I once found myself confronted by an internet poster (as always from the
safe anonymity of an fake screen name) listing all the good Byrne
stories, and telling me, in so many words, that they don't
count.

Down the street a bit, we have Rich Johnston cheerfully printing lies and
innuendo, and proudly titling his muckraking with a double-meaning that
declares his intent.

In the face of the likes of this, I prithee, what could I do that you would
deem not self-destructive?
