Yes, Pops, this too can(and more than likely WILL be easily) undone! Please? Norman Osborn is ALIVE!

I feel that the Powers That Be figured that a reboot of Spider-Man was always on the cards so why not go for broke in messing up the character. If you know something like this is planned then why not have him unmask on live TV and why not have feeding spikes come out of his arms (that idea was absolute tosh that went nowhere fast and seemed to be ignored by even the poeple who concieved it).

As they say, the only way from here is up...

I think you give EVERYONE way more credit than they deserve. Too oftne we use the term "The Powers That Be" as though there is some Faustian cabal or shadowy cabinet of people running things. I've met them... they change... they give very little thought to anything other than, "What will sell NEXT month?"

OR perhaps someone DID make a deal with the Devil... and this is the beginning of getting his dark message into the monthly comic books and into the minds of youth.

Just a thought.

Mary Jane was probably really Ultron all along anyway.

Mr. Mackie, everyone knows that Satan has invested all his cookies into R.K.Rowling books. He had to after D&D and heavy metal went to the dogs. He'd never go back to comics. The last time he tried that they came up with the comics code.

Nobody can really believe that falling sales can only be answered by feeding spikes coming out of somones arms. Did that meeting end or start with someone saying "I think Spider-Man really needs to stab people more and then feast on the goo inside". If it started that way why didn't it end with someone else asking "Have you lost your F**king Mind?!"

Question for John Byrne:

Would you ever draw Spider-Man with those spikes out? I mean if you were commisioned or if maybe the story really called for it? Or are these things now best filed under "Let's never mention it again".

...The "fix" was essentially an alternate universe created by Mephisto, right?

Mephisto was created be the Marvel version of the Satan, right?

Everything else in this Universe is the same... as best as we know, BUT... the ongoing adventures of all the characters are taking place in a Universe created by SATAN, right?

Leave it to the Marvel of today to court that lucrative Cathar market.

I sure hope the no marriage thing means that Petey can go crusin' for groovy chicks in the Spiderbuggy. Not sure why he has to crash at Aunt May's, though; surely he he's always got a room at the Amazing Friends pad?

Wasn't the "Amazing Friend's pad" at Aunt May's?

Was it? Wow, bummer. I bet they weren't allowed to play Twister past 9.00.
