I guess I just don't see how posting earlier posts relevant to the discussion without commentary constitutes joining a fight. If anything they would only serve to clarify the issue.

I apologize and retract the "angered" comment.

I still agree with Jeff on this statement:

"Here's a thought. How about JB re-apologizes to Erik Larsen now, so it's clear once and for all that Erik sees the apology, and everyone else just accepts it and moves on?

These guys should be drawing comic books, not having to deal with "Let's you and him fight."

Who knows? You might actually force Rich Johnston to post a positive story about you for once. :)

(just to avoid further problems, that's a knock on him, not you)

How about calling Jim Lee, Mark Waid, and Peter David liars?

There are severe legal consequences attached to calling someone a "liar".
I have never done so.

How about Erik Larsens "background man"?

••
:

That was corrected and apologized for years ago. The background man
actually worked for Valentino.

Ah, but it's only the BAD news that makes for the good stories, isn't it?

HEY, ERIK LARSEN! SEEMS I GOT CONFUSED AND MIXED UP YOUR BOOK
WITH VALENTINO'S! SORRY ABOUT THAT! ALSO SORRY FOR SHOUTING
AND REPEATING MYSELF, BUT APPARENTLY SOME PEOPLE ARE A BIT DEAF
AROUND HERE.

Hooo Kay....

Before this thread gets shut down, I just want to say that I am liking Spider-Man in the Brand New Day direction.  It's the first time in years, maybe decades I have liked him.

That being said, I wish we could have gotten there some other way than destroying continuity and making a deal with the devil.

I dont care what the outcome would've been people would still complain. Nothing else you can say this has got people talking. No one cared about their marriage before or if they did we'd have a thread on 69+ pages about them being married, and how great it was.

People say the story would be betterif it ended on a divorce of MJ getting killed. That wouldn't heal May. Also if Peter would've left MJ he would look like a bad guy. If MJ would've left Peter she would 've looked like a heel leaving him. If you read the story it was more MJ making the "deal" than Peter. I think that makes her look more noble. She gave up the perfect relationship for the man she loves and to save May.

To me the story is better, than it has been in years. I have been picking it up on a regular bases now, where before I hated reading it. Only thing I dont like is it coming out 3 times a month.

Now be a dear and find the post AFTER that one, Greg. You know, since you seem to have everything I have ever written right at your fingertips.

I'd love to, Poppet.....
But that took some searching on Google, and a couple of other search engines.
I wish I did have everything you've ever written at my fingertips, but alas, all I have is a few pics of you I've downloaded, and laminated.

"So angered"? You must tell me where you got the emotion-detector for your computer. Such a thing would come in handy, 'round here.

Same place you got your "BaLoney-DeTector?"

One More Day was a distaster on almost every level, but in the end it left a good playing field for Spider-Man stories, so long as the Mephisto stuff is left in the past. Brand New Day has been very enjoyable so far, especially Dan Slott's issues.

Spider-Man was dead for about 20 years. He recently returned to life.

I liked Slott's issues but wasn't crazy about the art. Not that it was bad; it just wasn't...Spidey (am I making sense?)

Failing getting JR, Jr. back on the book I'd like to see Paul Pelletier or Tom Grummett given a shot. Thoughts?
