Like Kitson's  Spider-man,  looks good.  I enjoyed most of what he's drawn in the past.  Think I first noticed him on  Azrael.
Looking forward to his  Spider-Man.

I have been surprised by the All New 80's Spider-Man ASM published since OMD. It is not bad. I don't know if it really is good or if it is just better than the shite that passed for Spider-Man recently. It is a return to basic web slinging and so far it is working but how long will this last. How long before someone decides to ask "What If?" outside of the usual "What If?" books. Time will tell...

How long till we find out it wasn't really Peter and MJ who went to Mephisto, but rather skrulls from this forthcoming Secret Invasion.  Peter and MJ are still married.  May was a skrull too.  And Mephisto.  Heck - so was Cap.  Steve Rogers is still alive somewhere and it was a skrull that was shot.  By a skrull Agent 13.  The mutants never really went away, because Wanda was really a skrull.  George W Bush is really a skrull?  Comics publishers have all been replaced by skrulls.  Oh it explains so much!  Not least why teh Kree are suffering so badly from Annihilation, while the skrulls seem  to have bounced back well from their homeworld being eaten by Galactus (now who was it that wrote that?  hmm ...)  So yes - Peter and MJ (and Cap) - really skrulls.  Just you watch.

... or the MJ that revealed she knew Peter's secret years ago, before marrying him has been a skrull all along. If only they had waited, this wouldn't have been nearly as clumsy in its execution.

I'm a fan of Kitson's work and I'm excited to read he will be one of the artists on Amazing.

I finally read the first three issues of Brand New Day. They were good. It was a solid story that was successful in setting the new "status quo" and starting a lot of new subplots and stories for the future. I wouldn't say the first three issues were a homerun, but a solid double that makes me want to see more. I look forward to reading Marc's story at the end of this month. (I'm getting the books from an online subscription)

Hot on the heels of this successful transition, M***** should have a mini series called One Less Planet, where Galactus makes a deal with Mephisto to curb his incredible hunger and to drop a couple of suit sizes...

Then there is One More Term, where Prez makes a deal with Mephisto to get re-elected...

How about One More Hero, where Steve Rpgers readily forges a pact with Mephisto to come back and wage his war on evildoers everywhere...

When you deal with Mephisto, everyone wins!

Monte,

obviously followed by . . One More Deal -  where Mephisto makes a deal with himself to become the living legend embodiment of america with the ability to eat planets married to a hot redhead supermodel who helps him on his campaign trail?

I'll wait for One More Reboot, where these poor old characters will get restarted yet again, for another new generation of readers who at the current trend of decline will be a total of a dozen guys in NY, 8 in LA. 2 in London and 1 in Sydney.  "Yes - success - Spider-Man sales have peaked at a new high for the last 5 years - 25 copies sold this month!  Setup a new movie deal, Stan!"

How can redoing Peter as an angst ridden character be a fresh new direction anymore when every character is now angst ridden?  It was innovative back in Ditko's days, but now its just passe.

Funny thing, or just plain sad... Today, in my newspaper, there is a little something about " One more day" and " Brand new day ".

The reporter explained basically the idea of the whole concept with no personal position...

except for the last sentence : "[...] let's hope they will not wait 25 years to get married again. "...

What's the point of having a Mesphisto when there's a Galactus around?  Maybe the next series of books should be called "ONE MORE MEAL"

Have always thought "What's the point of having Mephisto when you have Loki?" - but obviously Mephisto is far more powerful and successful than Loki has ever managed to be - well now anyhow.  Although Loki has nicer legs now it would seem.

Perhaps the "Make a Wish Foundation" could adopt Mephisto as a mascot?  "Mephisto - making wishes come true!"

I've also been thinking, we now know who has the more pure character - Norrin or Peter.  The Surfer never made the dirty deals with Mephisto.  Tho - he's now dead isn't he, from rust or tarnish or cancer or something?  I seriously can't make sense of the supposed continuity from the House of Ideas these days, sorry.

When I was collecting Spider-man the only one I got was Amazing Spider-man because it was the flagship and anything important was going to happen there. I didn't want spectacular and web, neither of them interested me and I think that was the same thing with a lot of other readers.

The question I have is are all of the Spider-man titles now Amazing? Or is that just a stunt for a few months to launch BND?

Personally I would have been ticked if when I was collecting it I had suddenly been forced to buy two comics that I didn't want or drop Spider-man altogether. I can just see going to my comic-book store owner and asking him to pull Amazing Spider-man for me: "But not the other two, just the core Amazing, not the other two Amazings, you know what I mean, right?"

Anybody found that to be a problem or is there a way for people to know which is the core of the three Amazing issues?
