Y'know, I'm not usually one to dig the black and white format, but the more I think about it, the more appealing it becomes...at least with JB's stuff.

I'm going to make a prediction that IDW will be the new home for JOHN BYRNE - and we're about to see a renascence in BYRNE work.
I've been following the IDW company and doing some reading on them -- I'm very optomistic that they will be around for a long time and will be producing GREAT books.
I would love to see IDW become the home of COMIC BOOK CREATORS who want to create quality books -- and let IDW be successful at it.
Maybe I'm one of the few - but I truly enjoyed the CrossGen books (most recently) and the Dark Horse material (from back during the Next Men years) that were being created by TOP TALENT (Miller, Byrne, Perez, etc.)
Here's hoping IDW and Byrne have a long and fruitful future.

JB, even if I already collected all your Next Men stuff (by far the best art and storytelling you created IMO), I will certainly buy this "phonebooks" if it can lead you to finish the story !
The bad news is that, as a new member to this forum, I had some questions to ask about he NEXT MEN. I think I will wait to ask them, in order not to spoil the fun for all the lucky people in this forum who don't know yet who Sathanas is ...
And remember JB, "without you, I wouldn't be here"

Sorry, JB's fans who red 2112 in the past already know who Sathanas is : a kind of vampire Doctor Doom and certainly the most ugly bast*rd known in the comic universe.
I should have written " the lucky people in this forum who don't know yet what the greenery is ..."
If 2112 is not a part of the "phonebooks", will it be published again from IDW ?

Looking forward to the phonebooks. Has a price point been announced, or
is it too early to tell?

Are the previews (Dark Horse presents?) included? I have seen a short comic, atruck falling over in b&w from Dark Horse. Then it was "read more in John Byrne's next Men" or something. Is it in the phonebook?

Brilliant, brilliant! I have the first trade, and the rest in comic book form, but this will give me a uniform edition and clear some much needed space.
Hooray.
I don't suppose there's any sightings of JB's Wonder Woman run in more (and better tpbs)? That, Namor, She-Hulk, and Generations III are my other 'wishes' for 2008

IDW is fast becoming John's new home. Star Trek, FX, Next Men... Good times are ahead. I am really happy we'll be seeing Next Men in B&W. Not to say anything bad about Matt Webb, but I prefer John colorless. And, like most people here, I will buy the whole set of phonebooks even though I have only missed 2 issues.
I am pretty sure 2112 will be included, otherwise a large part will make no sense to new readers, even though the events are somewhat recapped in the series.
Next Men I consider "new" as this is the line I draw in order to tell the new and old Byrne apart. Of course, it's a line 3 years wide...

I hope JB includes a few Easter Eggs of new material - a page here or there....that would be neat.
