Can't tell you how many times I've loaned out the Trades to friends who aren't comic readers and hooked them on NEXT MEN.  Unfortunately, I'd always have to end up explaining the M4 sub-plot when it appeared.

That's the greatest loss in those trades -- no M4.

How will the phonebooks incorporate it?

M4 will appear in the phonebooks as "chapter breaks" between the
appropriate issues.

I'm especially looking forward to the torrent of posts from trolls who have
not previously read NEXT MEN. "Hey! There's bad language and nudity in
this series! You said comics should be only for kids!!!"

You know I love your Alpha Flight most of all, but Next Men is essential comics reading for any fan of the medium.  It might just be your best work.  How "proud" of it are you, JB?

All the NEXT MEN stuff will be coming from IDW in big, honkin' black and
white "phonebooks" in the New Year.

Yes!

I've got the entire run, but I'll be buying the "phonebooks" as well.

JB, are there any plans for a companion volume collecting all of the JBNM letters pages?

Finally! I've got the run, too, but I'll be getting the phonebooks.

I too, like Wallace am wondering if A Flame About This High will be included.  That's a volume I look forward to buying.

No plans to include any part of the letter columns. The books will be hefty
enough!!

JB --

What sort of sales numbers will we need for the "phone books" to generate additional new stories ?

I know that's a touchy question that you may not wish to discuss, but I'm curious if it needs to sell in numbers commensurate with a monthly issue of a comic or if more reasonable expectations are in place ?
