I hope Mr. Kubert knows how many fans he has here at the John Byrne Forum!

I would imagine that he might get the message better if his fans would contact  him via his school, to let him know how much his work is appreciated.

Geez, we need to form a Hawkman club or something!

Too cool!
So, how many of the 100 have we bought?

I'm still waiting for someone to get something really weird. I know that Joe hasn't been doing some of the odd requests (no Thing), but I'd still love to see some more Batmans and other DC heroes...
Theres a Ramona Fradon color Thing head drawing on ebay right now. Very odd!

Ghost Riders, by Jerry Bingham

A nice, vintage Bingham piece.  I'm a big fan of both of these characters--this would have made the basis for a nice cover for a Ghost Rider Annual back in the day.

Joel, that would be correct...I was referencing St. Hubbins' appearance in the Hear 'n Aid/ "Stars" video, which was heavy metal's answer to the world relief efforts like Live Aid, We Are The World, et al.  Several of hard rock music's luminaries appeared on the project and in the accompanying video and the mighty Tap was represented.

"I like the way he puts the "J" in there so you don't get him mixed up with all the other Yngwie Malmsteens out there...">>

Yeah, I thought so. scary thing is... I just watched that, maybe a month ago....

nice Hembeck stuff too... What a great feel he has for this stuff. I remember watching him and talking to him as a kid at the old Chicago ComicCon back at the Congress Hotel. I think it was the same year the Dr. Who convention was there and the A/C went out... ouch.

Well, and since I'm on a roll....

Nice pick up on the Bingham piece LLoyd. I love Jerry's stuff. Especially when he inked himself. I love that kind of scribbly style. I went thru a period of about a year where all my B/W stuff looked like he inked it.... ah well. So a wear my influences on my sleeve....

Wasn't Jerry on the forum at one point?
