The Ed Hannigan piece is a recreation of the original ad poster for Skull & Bones, and he did a beautiful job. My understanding is that due to his health problems this was one of the last commissions he would be doing.

Ryan, that's funny about Quinn the Eskimo. Herb has drawn so many characters over the span of his career, so I think he can be forgiven for not remembering a few of them. As for the OHMUDE, I'm definitely thinking of having Fred do the full run of covers. I love the way that this one came out, so I've got to get back onto his list for number two.

If you want to be most accurate, James, you'd have to change artists on the cover recreations midway through the run :)

Having Hembeck redo all of the OHOTMU covers would be amazing!!! I really hope to see it happen! And hopefully you'll get him back to MidOhioCon next November to deliver some of them in person!

I just read Chris Giarrusso's G-Man #3 a few nights ago. Fred Hembeck makes an appearance in the issue! Chris even drew Fred with the curly-q knees and elbows.

Not sure how many pulp fans there are here but I just got the final of three sketches from the very cool Scott Godlewski. He worked up three pulp covers for me from ideas that I had wwaayy back when I was a teenager.
The first is the big ones: Doc Savage, the Phantom, Tarzan and the Shadows vs. the Nazi's.
The next one's got your second tier guys, the Avenger, the Green Hornet, the Green Lama and the Spider vs. Fu Manchu.
The last one has the space heroes, Flash Gordon, John Carter of Mars and Captain Future vs. Ming.
